UI/UX Designer

Responsibilities:

The responsibilities listed below are representative of daily tasks. However, we are a startup and need someone flexible enough to accomplish business objectives and challenges as they arise. The UI/UX Designer will be responsible for:

  • Translating consumer needs and wants into intuitive, powerful and visually stunning user experiences
  • Refining AisleBuyer’s user interfaces for existing mobile applications as well as the company’s website
  • Creating comprehensive user‐flows for upcoming application releases
  • Creating high‐quality graphics (anything from pixel sprites, vector and bitmap images, icons, etc.)
  • Leading/participating in consumer usability testing
  • Iterating design releases quickly and often without sacrificing quality
  • Studying competitive products/experiences and bringing new ideas to the team

Qualifications:

Product Manager

Responsibilities

The responsibilities listed below are representative of daily tasks. However, we are a startup and need someone flexible enough to accomplish business objectives and challenges as they arise. The Product Manager will be responsible for managing a product’s life cycle from conception to inception to iteration. The ideal Product Manager will live at the intersection of our technology and marketing teams. More specifically:

  • Understanding use cases and isolating specific consumer and retailer needs
  • Analyzing and prioritizing new products and features
  • Refining product vision and roadmap
  • Gathering product requirements and content
  • Creating wireframes and working with our UI/UX expert to create UI mockups
  • Partnering with world class mobile software engineers to bring products to life
  • Projecting financial returns on new products and features
  • Analyzing and reporting on product performance

Qualifications

  • 3+ year of product management experience, ideally in mobile/retail technology
  • BS in Computer Science or related technical field (MS or PhD preferred)

  • Superior command of Objective-C and Cocoa
  • Work portfolio including at least one live application in the iTunes app store with a minimum 3-star rating
  • Experience with client / server architecture (TCP/IP, HTTP, REST)

  • Work with other mobile platforms preferable (immediate work will be iPhone specific, but if you’ve worked with Android or Blackberry apps, that would be a plus)

QA Engineer

Responsibilities

  • Performing functionality, compatibility, integration, and regression testing on AisleBuyer’s multiple mobile applications
  • Ensuring quality and availability of web based applications
  • Creating, maintaining and executing test plans and test cases
  • Participating in design and specification reviews
  • Defining and understanding all scenarios and test cases to satisfy functional requirements for applications being tested
  • Partnering with the development team to troubleshoot and resolve issues quickly for rapid release iteration
  • Tracking industry best practices for QA testing of mobile apps

Qualifications

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, education, experience and ability preferred, but not required for the position. The ideal QA Engineer will have:

  • BA/BS in CS, Applied Math, or equivalent work experience
  • 3+ years testing commercial software including SQA experience on one or more mobile platforms
  • Previously launched at least one mobile application in a testing role
  • Software development and web design experience
  • Coding knowledge in one or more of the following languages: C/C++, C#, Java, J2ME, Objective C

Requirements

  • Setting direction for and motivating the engineering team, collaborating and communicating technical design, architecture, & modeling

  • Collaborating and working closely with product managers and the executive team to expand on current product offerings

  • 7+ years of relevant engineering management experience and 5+ years leading software development
  • Multiple examples of successful direct leadership in design, development, delivery, support and maintenance of a large scale, high performing, reliable and robust, software applications
  • Experience in a diverse range of web-based technologies including large scale mobile consumer services
  • Experience in estimation of engineering efforts, implementation planning, and rollout of product deliverables
  • Superior command over Java and MySQL
